Services

The Rundown

We offer processing and scanning services in Nelson, BC. We manually process your colour negative and slide film with a Jobo CPP2 unit, and B&W film is done in either small tanks or the Jobo depending on volume. This gives us the leeway we need for pushing and pulling film, or for doing alternative processes like stand development for B&W.

We scan 35mm film with a Noritsu LS-600 scanner and 120/220/large format via macro scanning. Macro scanning can be requested for 35mm as well.

View our prices below, and use the form to send us your order. Upon processing your order, we will forward you an invoice, and you can pay online with Interac e-transfer.

Drop your film off with our friends at Nelson Fine Art Printing, at 557 Ward St, Nelson, BC. We process colour film once a month. The cutoff for each processing run is the first Monday of the month, and results are delivered by the following Monday.

Macro Scanning

Macro Scanning is a manual process of scanning negatives with a digital camera and macro lens against a light table. We prefer this method for black and white scanning due to the high flexibility of post-processing that the digital negative offers. We can offer the RAW negative image files to those who wish to do their own tweaking in your software of choice, as well as pre-tweaked print-and-post-able jpeg files. For the serious geek. Not recommended for colour negative, but good results are obtained from slide film as well. Overscanning is also available upon request.
